Mutiara means "Pearl" in Malaysia and the islands of Langkawi and the Mutiara Burau Bay Resort are two of
Malaysia's most treasured attractions. Langkawi lives up to its reputation as a near deserted tropical island hide way.
Only two of the 104 islands in the archipelago are inhabited so its possible to relax or sail around beautiful forest
line-islands dotted with white sandy beaches.
The Mutiara Burau Bay lies on Langkawi's two finest beaches. It has only 150 cabanas situated amongst Coastal rain
forest. The ambience is relaxed and yet the service is professional. Guests can do it all or do nothing at all with the
best recreational facilities or simply lying under one of the island's shadiest coconut palms. In the evening discover true
island hospitaly at the Seashell Beach Cafe with the coolest cocktails, fabulous food and magical food.
Mutiara Burau Bay offers 150 units of colourful cabana chalets, each with modern facilities and a private balcony.
We have three types of rooms and suites:
* Rooms with single/double beds
* Family cabanas
* Burau Suites
All of our cabanas come equipped with:
• Air conditioner
• Colour TV
• Mini bar
• Hair dryer
Sightseeing Info
MUTIARA Burau Bay is located approximately 35 minutes away from the town of Kuah. Close to several places of
interest like Telaga Tujuh and Summer Palace Langkawi, guests can explore some parts of Langkawi on foot. If they
wish to travel further, there are always taxis and the self-drive car rental service provided by the resort. If you intend
to see more of Langkawi's beauty and experience some of its mysticism, here are some suggestions:
Pulau Payar Marine Park
This beautiful marine sanctuary is a delight for both snorkelers and divers. For those not so inclined to get wet, it also
has an amazing underwater observatory.
Telaga Tujuh (Seven Wells)
Located in Burau Bay itself, these series of spectacular waterfalls are 91m tall and worth the easy hike up Mount Mat
Cincang.
Tasik Dayang Bunting (Lake of the Pregnant Maiden)
A beautiful, large freshwater lake located near Kuah Town, it's the site of a fascinating legend. It was said that a
barren maiden drank from the lake and conceived soon after.
Langkawi Cable Car
Enjoy an exhilarating ride across the forest canopy to Mount Mat Cincang. The 2 km journey is one of the world's
steepest and the views towards southern Thailand are superb. There are shops & restaurants available at the ground
station.
Summer Palace Langkawi
Originally constructed as part of the set for the movie "Anna and The King", it's now one of Langkawi's biggest
attractions. Built almost entirely of wood, the entire set is uncannily real!
Ibrahim Hussein Museum and Cultural Foundation
A non-profit, non-government organisation, it is dedicated to the promotion, advancement and development of arts and
culture. The home to some of Ibrahim Hussein's works of beauty, the museum itself is an architectural wonder.
Pasar Malam (Night Market)
Held at different locations each day of the week, it has everything from clothes and household items to local food of
every kind. Bright and colourful, it's the perfect way to spend a balmy evening.
B Jaya Holiday Leisure
